2025-04-04 17:53:00

The highly anticipated cultural museum scenery artistic illusion "Seeking Changsha" will enter its trial operation phase from April 4 to 6, 2025. This immersive show, jointly created by the Changsha Museum and the Changsha Song and Dance Theatre, aims to enable audiences to experience the city's 3,000-year historical evolution and the distinctive allure of Huxiang culture through innovative artistic forms.

The performance highlights the bronze culture of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, Hunan and Chu culture, Changsha Kingdom of the Han Dynasty, and Changsha Kiln of the Tang Dynasty. By blending music, dance, poetry, and recitation with cutting-edge audio-visual and lighting technologies, the performance depicts the millennia-old city of Changsha.

The 30-minute production consists of three sections, weaving together iconic cultural elements of Huxiang, including Queen Yuyang (a figure from the Han Dynasty), Changsha Kiln ceramics, and the Zhu-Zhang Symposium (a historic academic exchange at Yuelu Academy). Light-and-shadow interaction and spatial reconstruction are combined to create an immersive artistic fantasy world.

During the trial operation period, audiences can watch performances at the "Seeking Changsha" theater on the first floor of the Changsha Museum at 11:00 and 14:30 every day. Multiple ticket discounts are available during this period. Single tickets are offered at a 20% discount for 48 yuan, two-person tickets at a 30% discount, and three-person tickets at a 40% discount.
