
Dong'an Tunnel, a part of Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway, achieved its tunneling milestone of 1,000 meters on April 7, laying a solid foundation for the completion of the entire tunnel. With a total length of 5,562.09 meters, Dong'an Tunnel is the longest tunnel on the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway.
Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway is a crucial section of Hohhot-Nanning High-speed Railway on China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, and also one of the key construction projects in Hunan's 14th Five-Year Plan for railway development.
